Can You Board a Dog, Cat and Guinea Pig at the Same Place?

If your house has more than one kind of pet, planning a trip usually means more than one kind of care to figure out. A spot for the dog, something separate for the cat and then there is still the guinea pig to figure out.

At Pawesome Pets, those plans get a lot easier since all three can stay in the same place at the same time. Here’s what a stay looks like for each one.

What happens with the dog?

While we do require membership for our enrichment based daycare, you don’t need a membership for boarding. Boarding pups enjoying going outside 6 to 8 times a day. Most of that time is in a play yard with other dogs who are boarding that week. If your dog isn’t really a group player, a staff member takes them out one-on-one instead, same number of outings, just without the crowd.

What about the cat?

Cats stay on a separate side of the building in their own suites, away from the dogs. Each cat has a bed, room to stretch, and either a perch or a scratch pole for people-watching. Some cats are happy left alone with that setup. Others do better with company, so we offer add-ons like extra snuggle time or one-on-one play if that fits your cat better.

And the guinea pig, or any small pet?

This is usually the one people assume gets the least attention, and it’s actually the opposite. If you’ve got a cage or habitat at home, bring it, along with their regular food, so things feel familiar. Staff check in several times a day, refreshing food and water. We also offer add-ons like extra snuggle time or one-on-one play if that fits your small pet well. They’re kept apart from the dogs and cats, so it’s a calmer experience for something that size.

One Place for the Whole Household

Most boarding facilities make you sort out separate care for every pet in the house. That’s not how we built this. Whatever’s living under your roof, dog, cat, guinea pig, or all three, one reservation covers everyone.
